Project Description

We have created procedurally generated NFT items that would eventually be used as part of a Viking themed NFT game on the polygon network. Since this is "NFT Hack" we decided the best first step would be to create a NFT item that would be usable in the game to come. We wanted to combine NFT game items with procedural generation that is common in many art or collectable NFT projects. This allows us to not only give the NFTs attributes of different strength (+1 Damage up to +8 Damage for example) but visually show these attributes and the strength of the attribute through runes and colors (white runes up to red runes). This creates a loot system similar to traditional games such as Diablo where you get the thrill of the hunt for those high rolled items with the added bonus of the item art itself visually showing what attributes the item provides.

How it's Made

Built off of scaffold-eth on the Polygon network with IPFS and Hardhat. NFT images created using photoshop. Planned on using cloudinary for image hosting, uploading, and manipulation to create procedurally generated NFT images based on attributes, but came accross major errors near the end.
