We empower users to have more control on their tickets when buying and selling, with tickets they can really own, to re-sell them, collect them or to engage with their favorite artist. With this system the users can check the authenticity of the ticket since the contract address should match. Also this allows organizers to authenticate people instantly at the entrance since they can use a system where people login with wallet connect and then verify if that wallet owns the NFT ticket for that event. After the event the user can keep the NFT as a badge to proudly show to others, or to keep it as a souvenir.

We built with React, Node.js, a mix of javascript and typescript, and solidity with Ethereum.

We implemented Wallet Connect v2 login, this was very challenging since version 2 is not ready and the documentation wasn’t very helpful. Even we receive a direct warning from the sponsor, that if we wanted a working app we should go to version 1 of wallet connect, but we decided to take the challenge and implement wallet connect version 2 login.

We use Chainlink Price Feeds to retrieve the price of ether, so we can calculate the equivalent from dollars to ether in a secure fashion with a consensus of oracles.

We use nft.storage service for IPFS and Filecoin, and securely store our NFT files.

We learnt a lot, we got lots of issues to have a working demo, but we proudly present a working app off localthost.
