Mars For Sale
Mars For Sale is a series of collectable NFT art pieces (Non-fungible token art). Each Mars For Sale Plot is a unique piece of art representing a section of one of Mars’s 30 quadrants. There are only 3,000 Mars for Sale Plots available.
Project Description
Mars For Sale aspires to provide space nerds with pieces of interactive art that they can pass down from generation to generation. People have long aspired to live on Mars, and although ownership of land on Mars is currently impossible, Mars For Sale NFTs empower the user to buy, build on, and transfer art inspired by Mars's 30 Quadrants.
There are 3,000 Mars For Sale NFTs available, each inspired by a segment of land that actually exits on Mars. Each Quadrant (or "Sector") is divided into 100 Plots, available for sale. Each NFT is a pixelated depiction of land, including a label that coincides with its Sector.
Initially, 50 Plots will be released to the public. Once these Plots have been sold, more Plots will be released gradually over time.
How it's Made
We have our landing page, which was made with Bootstrap HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript. We have a Twitter profile to help with hype (@marsforsalenft). We spent a lot of time on story and branding; we think that a good story can make or break a project (See MoonCats). We minted our NFTs for Sector 1 with OpenSea's Minter. Our NFTs for Sector 1 are posted to OpenSea. We tried to mint on Mintbase using NEAR Protocol, but are still pending for access to the minting platform. We intend to mint Sector 30 NFTs on Mintbase/NEAR.
