Project Description

This project introduces a unique way to use Lit Protocol and Lit Protocol ACLs. Lit Protocol is typically used to maintain secrecy. This project uses Lit Protocol, IPFS and Covalent network to create a mechanism to share verifiable bits of truths by maintaining and serving JWTs received from Lit Protocol verification. Literal creates a document of ACLs that is published to IPFS. This document contains a list of conditions that are one time published on the lit network. Any user who wishes to show proof of passing these conditions is then made to get JWTs for each condition. These JWTs do not provide access to any real world resources and can be shared as proofs of passing a certain condition. These proofs are called Literals and are stored on IPFS and Literal network. They are shown as tags. Any web3 platform can query these literals for an address and can show and verify relevant tags.

How it's Made

This project is made using IPFS, Lit Protocol, Covalent network and it works on Polygon network. IPFS is used to store ACLs and Literals. Lit Protocol is used to save ACL conditions and get JWTs against them. These JWTs act as proof of passing certain on chain conditions and are called as Literals in the protocol. The Literal server and IPFS can then serve these proofs.
