Project Description

  1. ONE CLICK ENGAGEMENT : a. Signing up is a thing of the past. You're just one click away from viewing other's opinions and sharing your own thoughts with the whole world. b. LensView is permisionless and censorship resistant, so users can post about anything that has a URL without having to worry about their posts being taken down.

  2. PLATFORM INDEPENDENT: a. Currently, a credible reviewer on Amazon can't prove their credibility on another e-commerce website easily. b. With LensView, users carry their posts, upvotes, conversations everywhere. Every like, upvote on your post or comment increases your credibility on not just a single platform but the whole internet. c. This is a win-win situation for both the reviewer as well as the consumer. d. As you visit different websites, posting your thoughts on the go, eventually you attract wider follower base comprising of people with varying interests.

  3. NO ROOM FOR RUMORS: a. Verify every controversial piece of article then and there. Save yourself the hassle of Googling, just see what others have to say about it even if there's no comment section/discussion forum on the webpage. b. Scam websites? You can save others and yourself by going through the posts on LensView for a website before interacting with them.

How it's Made

  1. Using Lens Protocol locally on system using windows is difficult because no docs are there for that, we tested our app directly on polygon mainnet.
  2. Using web3.storage in place of infura was bit tricky initially.
  3. The graph taking publication ID only in number not in HEX was a problem to figure out what was going wrong, as standard lens protocol graphql use hex.
