Project Description

EcoAttest is a decentralized platform designed to integrate eco-friendly practices into daily life. It enables organizations to host and manage genuine, sustainable events and activities.

Humans can survive 10 days without food, 3 days without water, but only minutes without air. This underscores the urgent need for collective environmental action. While most efforts have been at the individual level, EcoAttest empowers organizations to unite and drive a sustainable future, making eco-friendliness part of everyday life.

  • Seamless User Onboarding: Uses Web3Auth for easy login and account creation, allowing participants to sign in using social accounts like Google. This lowers the barrier to entry into the decentralized platform. Event Verification and Attestation:

Sub-organizers manage event attestations, verifying participation through Sign Protocol, ensuring cryptographic verification and transparency for each event participant. Participants submit attestation requests via QR codes, and organizers approve them using schema hooks for secure, modular attestations.

  • Carbon Credit Tokens as Rewards: Participants earn Carbon Credit Tokens via the Hedera Token Service (HTS), representing their involvement in eco-friendly activities. These tokens can be used to purchase eco-friendly items or accumulate for future rewards, incentivizing continued participation.

  • Verifiable Organizations and Sub-Organizers: Organizations and sub-organizers are verified using Schema Hooks on networks like Base Sepolia, ensuring only credible participants can host and manage events, thus preventing fraudulent claims.

  • Computation for Participant Carbon Credit Scores: Nillion Computation calculates participants' credit scores based on attestations from sub-organizers and event outcomes, ensuring a decentralized and fair reward system.

How it's Made

  • Web3Auth: Simplifies user onboarding by allowing participants to create accounts using social media, such as Google, while securely managing access to the decentralized platform without the complexity of private key management.

  • Hedera Smart Contract Service (HSCS): This is the platform's backbone, responsible for handling all smart contract interactions and transactions. HSCS ensures secure, decentralized management of events, participants, and organizations, maintaining transparent and tamper-proof records on the Hedera network.

  • Sign Protocol: Facilitates cryptographically secure attestations by sub-organizers, verifying participants' involvement in eco-friendly events. This guarantees the authenticity and validity of user contributions, preventing fraudulent activity.

  • Schema Hooks (Base Sepolia): Modular and flexible verification system that ensures sub-organizers and event data are properly vetted before being accepted into the ecosystem. This strengthens the trustworthiness of the platform.

  • Hedera Token Service (HTS): Mints Carbon Credit Tokens as rewards for participants who complete eco-friendly activities. These tokens can purchase discounted eco-friendly items, creating a real-world incentive for sustainable behavior.

  • Nillion: Aggregates data from attestations and uses it to calculate eco-credit scores for participants. This decentralized computation model ensures fairness and transparency in the assessment of users' environmental impact.
