Project Description

CarboEx is a Decentralized application built on top of blockchain technology that aims to facilitate carbon credit trading. By generating an unchangeable and tamper-proof record of carbon credit transactions, the platform intends to provide efficiency and transparency to the market for carbon credits. The platform will make it possible for buyers and sellers of carbon credits to communicate with one another and conduct safe and open transactions. The platform will automate the exchange of carbon credits by using smart contracts, eliminating the need for intermediaries and reducing transaction cost. The platform will also provide an incentive mechanism for companies to reduce their carbon emissions. In accordance with the company's carbon emissions and governmental regulations, the platform will provide carbon credits. If a company's carbon credits expire before the allotted time, a penalty must be paid before another batch of carbon credits may be purchased. Also, if a company has carbon credits that are unused after a specific amount of time, they can sell those credits to another company. Ultimately, the CarboEx intends to support sustainable development by establishing a more effective and transparent carbon credit market, motivating businesses to cut their carbon emissions, and assisting in the reduction of climate change's adverse consequences.

How it's Made

To build this project we will be using a variety of technologies for both frontend and backend development. For the frontend, we will use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js. These technologies will be pieced together to create a visually appealing and interactive user interface that is both responsive and functional. For the backend, we will use Node.js and Express. These technologies will be used to handle the server-side logic and API calls, allowing us to efficiently handle incoming requests and responses. In terms of the database, we will use MongoDB due to its flexibility and scalability. This will allow us to store and manage large amounts of data with ease. We will incorporate blockchain technology into our project by using Solidity. This will allow us to create smart contracts and build decentralized applications that are secure and transparent. To host our application, we will use Amazon Web Services (AWS), which will provide us with a scalable and reliable cloud computing platform. This will allow us to easily deploy and manage our application, ensuring that it is available to users 24/7. Overall, our project will be built using a range of cutting-edge technologies that were carefully selected to ensure that our application is fast, secure, and scalable.
